At The Alliance, we believe in the power of community—and that small acts of service
can create lasting change. Whether you're looking
to mentor students, support events, or contribute behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here.
Explore our current volunteer opportunities
below and find the one that’s right for you!
Are you ready to make a lasting impact in
just one hour a month?
SALSA connects adult community members with students at Clear View High School to foster meaningful relationships, encourage leadership, and support youth-led service initiatives.
As a volunteer, you'll meet with students once a month for
one hour, offering your experiences, insights, and
encouragement to help guide them in their personal
growth and community involvement.
During the 2024–2025 school year, SALSA students will take part
in a variety of service projects and activities, including a Thanksgiving Food Drive, volunteering with Sailing Angels,
visiting a local nursing home, and more. Your role as a
mentor supports these efforts and helps students
stay engaged and inspired.
Volunteers are asked to commit to monthly meetings and
must complete a Clear Creek ISD background
check prior to participating.

Help us protect local youth by making sure tobacco laws
are being followed in our community.
The Alliance partners with local agencies to conduct tobacco compliance checks at area establishments. As a volunteer, you will assist in verifying that retailers are following state and federal laws, displaying the correct signage, and not selling tobacco products to minors. This is a meaningful opportunity for individuals who care about public health and want to play
an active role in preventing youth tobacco use.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in how compliance checks are conducted, while helping to reduce access to tobacco products among young people. Your involvement sends a clear message: our community stands together to protect its youth.
“The tobacco industry targets youth because they know that today’s experimenters are tomorrow’s customers. It’s up to us to break that cycle.” – Unknown
Volunteers must be age 21 or older, unless otherwise noted. Training is provided by The Alliance, and scheduling is
flexible based on your availability.

Snacks do more than satisfy hunger—they help students stay focused, feel cared for, and engage meaningfully in the programs that support their growth.
The Alliance Snack Drive provides individually wrapped snacks
for students participating in Kid Connection Small Groups, Positive Alternatives, SALSA, and Lunch Bunches. These snacks
are a simple but powerful way to connect with
students and support their well-being.
Because grant funds cannot be used to purchase food, we rely on the generosity of our community to help meet this need in Clear Creek ISD and Friendswood ISD. Your contributions directly impact students' daily experiences and allow us to continue building supportive, student-centered environments.
Starting July 14, 2025 snack donations can be dropped off at our offices, located at 2903 Falcon Pass, Houston, TX 77062, during business hours. You can also support the drive by shopping from our Amazon Wish List at https://a.co/fJ46NvZ.
